Re: Boeing Labor Strike and National Security

Dear Commander and Chief,

As we are preparing for a long war, our major aircraft company, BOEING, is in a strong stance to close its' doors to the labor it currently employs.

Have you called (312) 544-2140 and communicated to CEO Philip M. Condit the need for advocacy?

Have you contacted the Union of 25,000 workers to tell them that this is not a good time to be playing corporate games?  The Wall Street "buzz" is that it is a great time to go on strike.  Has Wall Street not done enough lately?  These "institutions" seem to be sabotaging our efforts lately.

Since SAC we have seen 1.3 million aerospace workers' jobs get sliced in half.  Recently with the 911 event Airlines are stumbling into bankruptcy and consolidation, end result, more jobs are lost.  I am sure John Douglass' s Commission Report on the Aerospace Industry will reflect my attitudes.  Even Congressman's Ed Pastor's people on August 17, 2002, knew something was wrong when the facts and evidence were conveyed and handed across to their table.

Many executives [or would be executives] are on the sideline soon to work for an impressive position at Home Depot if they act accordingly to acquire the "position."  The Elderly know their lives hang on a thread by questionable actions of their regional politicians.  The young workers are not able to see the complexities of life but are willing to sacrifice their earning potential for a better standard of living.  Who is going to tell these people the reasons for the declining standard of living?

The Arizona manufacturers are stunned by Larry Bossidy, Chairman of Honeywell/Allied Signal's [Arizona's Largest Employer][author of "The Discipline of Getting Things Done"] suggestion to move to Eaton's property in Monterrey, Mexico.  As I walked my District [CD4] many aerospace companies are asking for work.  Sources say the contracts are in but are being held back from production.  Many subcontractor companies are just hanging in, frozen in fear.   And now the Morristown Jersey boys of Allied/Honeywell want them to move to Mexico?  Delusional thinking at a critical time why?

Please take the proper CORRECTIVE ACTION to insure national security, during THIS TIME OF WAR.

Thank you for the past immediate actions on the illegal immigration problem.  I do hope Congressman Tancredo and Former US Custom agent Darlene Catalan [Sen. Grassley] provided you with vital information to make proper corrective actions on the Southern Border.

Sincerely,

Don Karg

P.S. To prevent future forest fires a former B52 Crewmember, now a General Dynamics QC employee, suggested that it is very possible to use the Aircraft to put out fires and train the crews for real missions at the same time, cutting expenses.  If interested give me a location and time in Phoenix to discuss this subject matter briefly with your people.  Currently, the equivalent of two states has burned and before the summer is over we may have burned the equivalent of three states to the ground.
